Jad Jamal Khalaf

Jad Jamal Khalaf is debt attorney of counsel in the McCarthy Law PLC Jackson, Mississippi office.

Dr. Khalaf grew up in Southwest Mississippi, where he worked in his family’s business.  His father is an immigrant from Israel, while his mother is a Mississippi Southern Belle.  Dr. Khalaf was raised in a family who taught him hard work ethic, as well as the importance of loving God and helping others.  After graduating from high school, Dr. Khalaf went on to receive an Associate of Arts degree with honors from Southwest Mississippi Community College, and then graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies and Philosophy from Mississippi College.  From there, Dr. Khalaf furthered his education by earning a Masters of Divinity in Evangelistic Church Growth from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Philosophy in Biblical Studies from Louisiana Baptist University.

After earning his doctorate, Dr. Khalaf lived abroad for some time in Lima, Peru, where he taught English and Bible at a Peruvian Baptist School.  Upon his return to the States, Dr. Khalaf pursued studying the law at Mississippi College School of Law (MC Law), where he received his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree.  While in law school, Dr. Khalaf served as Chief Justice of the MC Law Honor Court; Senator on the MC Law Student Bar Association; President of the MC Law Chapter of Christian Legal Society; a pupil in the Charles Clark Inns of Court; and a panelist representing MC Law at the 2015 Mississippi Governor’s Prayer Luncheon.  As a law student, Dr. Khalaf enhanced his legal education and legal experience by interning at the Hinds County, Mississippi Public Defender Office; Mission First Legal Aid Clinic; Rankin County, Mississippi Youth Court; and several law firms.

Dr. Khalaf is co-founder and managing partner at Khalaf & Nguyen, PLLC law firm in the capital city of Jackson, Mississippi.  He is a member of the Mississippi Bar and has been admitted to practice law in the courts of Mississippi; the Supreme Court of Mississippi; the Mississippi Court of Appeals; the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit; and the United States District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi.
