Steve A. Mason is of counsel in the McCarthy Law PLC, Hollywood, FL office.  He has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1975.  He is a graduate of Villanova University School of Law.  Mr. Mason has a M.S. in Conflict & Dispute Resolution from Nova Southeastern University.  He received his B.A. in Psychology from The Johns Hopkins University with minors in German and Sociology.

Mr. Mason is a former Active & Reserve Duty Commissioned officer for the U.S. Army, and retired with the rank of Lt. Colonel.  His decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Humanitarian Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal.  After law school, he gained trial experience working for the Judge Advocate General’s Corps, U.S. Army.   In addition, he worked as an Assistant Public Defender for the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit in Broward County, FL.  His areas of private practice have included civil and family litigation, residential and commercial real estate closings, family law/divorce, commercial litigation, wills and trusts, probate administration, small business advice and corporate law.

As a debt settlement Attorney in Hollywood, Mr. Mason has special knowledge and experience in premises liability, condominium and community association law, and military law in family matters.  He is also a certified family and circuit civil mediator.  He understands that choosing a lawyer is an important decision and pledges to provide honest, dedicated and professional legal representation.  His ultimate goal is to obtain the best possible outcome for his clients.
