April Brinkman is of counsel in the McCarthy Law PLC Vancouver, WA office. Ms. Brinkman has been a member of the Washington State Bar since 2005, and she is also a member of the federal bar for the Western District of Washington.
In her private practice, Ms. Brinkman represents clients in family law matters, including parentage and dissolution cases. Ms. Brinkman in each and every one of her family law cases works to keep her clients and their families whole financially as they move forward in their lives. Ms. Brinkman is a graduate of the University of Washington School of Law, and she has worked for private firms and law offices in Seattle, Tacoma, and Vancouver. Previous to law school, Ms. Brinkman earned her Ph.D. from Cornell University where she studied history, and she graduated from the University or Oregon Honors College with a double major in Psychology and Political Science. She spent a year as a Fulbright Scholar in Costa Rica and is bilingual in Spanish. Ms. Brinkman is a member of the Family Law Section of the Washington State Bar Association, and she also served as a member of the Amicus Brief Committee of the Washington State Bar Association.
As part of her community service, the attorney worked as an adjunct professor at Portland State University and as a lecturer at the University of Washington, Tacoma. On her own time, Ms. Brinkman likes to travel and explore new places close to her home in the Pacific Northwest.
